Strada Investment Group partners with Epic Cleantec on The Brady project

Onsite water reuse system saves 2.4 million gallons of water annually, advancing sustainable practices for San Francisco developments

In a significant step toward sustainable urban living, Strada Investment Group has partnered with Epic Cleantec to oversee operations of one of San Francisco’s first approved greywater reuse systems at The Brady, a transformative mixed-use building development. Located in the heart of the city, The Brady is designed to be a catalyst for revitalization, enhancing the neighborhood with modern residential units, retail spaces, and community-oriented areas. Strada’s vision for The Brady goes beyond providing high-quality housing — it sets a new standard for urban developments by integrating cutting-edge sustainability practices.

Commissioned by Epic Cleantec in 2024, the advanced treatment system collects greywater and rainwater, treating up to 6,500 gallons of water per day. The highly purified treated water is then repurposed for non-potable uses such as irrigation, toilet, and urinal flushing. This innovative approach not only significantly reduces The Brady’s overall water consumption but also eases the burden on San Francisco’s water infrastructure overall. The system is expected to save an estimated 2.4 million gallons of water annually, making a substantial contribution to the city’s water conservation goals.

This collaboration underscores Strada’s deep commitment to sustainability and protecting the Bay Area’s natural resources. By partnering with Epic Cleantec, Strada is not only enhancing the living experience for residents but also contributing to the broader goal of creating resilient and sustainable urban environments. Epic’s expertise in water reuse and Strada’s dedication to sustainable development are evident in their ongoing efforts to incorporate more onsite water reuse systems in future projects.

“The Brady’s implementation of onsite water reuse exemplifies our shared vision for how smart and sustainable urban living can provide quality, comfortable housing while safeguarding our precious natural resources,” said Aaron Tartakovsky, Co-Founder and CEO at Epic Cleantec. “We’re thrilled to partner with Strada to bring this exciting water reuse installation to life, among the first approved greywater reuse systems in the city of San Francisco.”

The Brady project exemplifies how innovative water management solutions can be effectively integrated into modern real estate developments, setting a benchmark for the future of the built environment. This partnership highlights the potential for cutting-edge technologies to imbue living spaces with green amenities and to create vibrant, environmentally responsible communities.
