Meet the man who treats wastewater until it’s good enough to drink (iNews)
Drinking beer brewed from someone else’s old bathwater does not sound pleasant. But that was exactly what first attracted Aaron Tartakovsky to the idea. When, in 2016, he heard about a pioneering group in north-west America using highly purified, treated wastewater to make beer, he hoped that he could one day do the same.
“I remember thinking at the time how cool of a concept it was to take something that so many of us have a visceral ‘yuck’ reaction to, and make it into something as friendly and approachable as beer,” he says. “The seed was planted.”
